West marsh ASB

So here is a picture of me  barricading a door at St Hugh's community centre last week. We were having a victims meeting and discussing how to get funding for camera's in the area when the very youth's who we are having huge problems with decended upon us trying to kick the door in. Throwing bricks at the windows and terrorising those victims. Now in the early hours of this morning we have a 16 year old in hospital after repeatedly being stabbed. When is something going to be done to arrest these people.

Police action

Hi all.

The police have completed their first evening of stop and search activities in the west marsh. A good operation and thanks for your continued hard work.

Police are also looking for witnesses to the collision earlier on boulevard Ave Grimsby.  If you have any information please ring 101.

Many thanks

Cllr Darren Billard.

The tractor has arrived

Hi All.

The tractor and chipper have arrived at green futures.  Once the flail arm mower is purchased the river bank issue should be sorted.

Britain's poorest areas get the biggest cuts from central government. Whilst the richest get an increase.  Thats fair austerity for you.

Todays activities

Hi All.

Complaints delt with over the new pelican crossings.

Im looking into funding for the community centre to keep the helping back to work specialist they have.

Around 1000 leaflets have gone out today. A big thank you to Hazel Chase for the help.

Tim Mickleburgh has a team out tomorrow to deliver around 1500.

We have done a first run through of all the phone numbers on the voter id system too.

A good start to the election campaign.

Darren.

Todays update

Hi All.

Media release of the budget today. Some difficult choices ahead. I may have a part slot on radio humberside talking to Lara King about the issues that face us.

Also my congratulations to Chris Dixon for recieving a Labour party life time achievement award yesterday. Well deserved for a lady who has inspired me since I signed up.

As always if you have any issues don't hesitate to get in touch.

Cllr Darren Billard.
